Lysiac believes in a healthcare system in which patients have timely and equitable access to appropriate treatments. A sustainable balance between quality and affordability is essential. In a continuously changing environment, it is crucial that policy and practice remain aligned. Transparency, clarity and coherence are necessary conditions to jointly address the challenges of the future.
Lysiac is committed to the socially responsible development and implementation of healthcare policy and practice. With expertise, integrity and engagement, we support organisations in their decisions and actions. We provide strategic insight and practical solutions that contribute to sound decision-making, effective implementation and fair access to care.
Lysiac’s expertise covers the full market access and reimbursement trajectory in the Netherlands — from PICO definition to patient access — with the aim of ensuring timely access to new treatments. Therefore, knowledge and insight into the interaction between systems, procedures and diverse stakeholder interests are essential.
Lysiac works with all relevant stakeholders, including companies, patient organisations, government bodies, health insurers and physicians in the Netherlands. This broad network provides insight into different interests and perspectives. Through policy insight, analysis of policy developments, interpretation of policy adjustments and practical experience, we help bridge differences and translate policy into workable solutions — and vice versa.
The foundation of Lysiac’s expertise is broad knowledge and insight, built on a strong network and years of experience. This includes both regular inpatient and outpatient pathways, as well as specific pathways such as (O)DAP and VT. For new and well-substantiated insights, we can draw on our tools (see Projects).
Reimbursement pathways in the Netherlands and within the BeneluxA collaboration, for example for (orphan) medicines, biotech products, ATMPs and medical technology.
Lysiac pays specific attention to public affairs, communication and coherence throughout the entire reimbursement process to ensure an optimal trajectory. This process starts well before EMA approval: from PICO definition, where applicable via (EU)HTA and (JCA) dossiers, appraisal and (price)agreements, through to patient access.
Lysiac works both on the development of policy and on its application in practice. Through analysis, training, advice and consultancy, we support organisations in building insight, making strategic choices and translating these into practical approaches for complex reimbursement and policy questions.
